Toshiba Tec Europe announces Office and Barcode printer divisions to merge

Toshiba Tec have announced that their office and barcode printer divisions in Europe are to merge. 

Both businesses are adapting to the fast pace of change, and both are addressing the requirement to integrate into complex business workflows. 

The merging of the two divisions under the "Together Information" banner will allow certain economies of scale in development and technical support, and in consumables management which is a key revenue stream in both cases.  The merger will also allow marketing and sales to present a common approach to logistics, production and commercial distribution customers.  These are markets with a large requirement for product and other shipping-related barcodes produced on thermal printers.  More recently, these same markets are increasingly looking for MFPs which can contribute to the automation of complex workflows.  When coupled to Toshiba Tec's Solutions portfolio of document capture and processing apps based on the eBridge platform, their MFPs plug this gap.
